An Original by Sandra Petit-Frère, Luxury Bag Review

This post is a review of the wonderful work of Sandra Petit-Frère.

Her bags are made under her An Original by Sandra Petit-Frère Label and, as the name suggests, her bags represent luxury and originality. Each one is created as a little piece of art with a soul of its own. Both functional and beautiful, I love their design and the wonderful quality materials that make up the final product.

Brown Leather Luxury Bag

Sandra began her label one Christmas when she was given a car boot full of fabric samples. Using her ingenuity, she created her first bags, most given as gifts, but some left over were sold at a market. The response was so positive that she launched her label and has gone from strength to strength since.

What makes the bags so special is Sandra's passion and eye for detail. She loves timeless style, vintage lace, buckles and bows. Sourcing these quality materials is part of her work and adds to the charm of the bags.

I have been a fan of Sandra's bags for some time, they really appeal to my love of originality and quality combined, and I have a beautiful little evening bag purchased some time ago which is brought out on the rare occasions I dress glamourously :)

The bag I'm reviewing today, though, is of a more practical nature, yet still truly beautiful. I was delighted to be working with Sandra and I chose this bag for a number of reasons.

Brown Leather and Fabric Bag

Its size is perfect for everyday, not too big yet spacious enough for all the things I carry around, plenty of room for purse, make up bag, phone and book.  The detail is wonderful and I was really struck by the unusual and stylish buckle and the combination of leather and stunning fabric.
The straps also have a leather insert which makes for comfort as well as strength.

I love having a bag that is practical and gorgeous!  I have to emphasise that each bag made is completely unique, no two are ever made in exactly the same way so if you want something that is truly yours, one of Sandra's bags is perfect.

There is an inside pocket for phone/keys etc. and the bag has a firm base which makes it easier to organise things and gives a bit of extra solidity.

As I mentioned earlier, it's all about the detail - the stitching and buckle are so unusual and the beautiful brown and ochre tones are pleasing to the eye.
This is a bag I'm very happy to show off :)

I am loving the look of that bag. So often I either like the style of it but it's too small for my needs (yes I'm that person who takes everything including the kitchen sink ;) ).

That's definitely a unique bag to have. I do like bags too, but I'm trying to curb my addiction ;) x

I wouldn't describe myself as a bag fan, but I love it when someone finds something they are good at and turns it into a business - This is no different and was great to read about!

It reminds me of the vintage bags I used to see at my grandmas, she would have loved to see this if she was still alive. Love the finish!
