Purity Belle Candles - what's been happening for me this Summer.

I haven't done a candle business update in a while so I thought I'd let you all know what's happening with Purity Belle Candles lately :)

First up, earlier in the year I was selected as one of the craft businesses to be showcased this June at The Old Yard in Castledermot. I was really chuffed at this because it's such a beautiful place and I felt that it was such a good fit for my candles. I met Una when I dropped off my stock and loved her vision and her support of local craft businesses. It's also a fab place to have a coffee and cake in a tranquil setting and buy foodie products from GlasraĆ & Goodies.
It was a gorgeous sunny day when I arrived - here are some of the pics I took on the day:

My time there has come to an end but I'd like to say a big thank you to Una for allowing me the space to share my products with her customers.

Next this Summer is that I've made some changes to how I sell my candles - the main thing, I suppose, is that I made the decision to close my Etsy shop. This was something I had been considering for some time - it had worked well for me initially but changing algorithms, plus changes to charges, made it extremely difficult to do well with it.  Instead, I am now focusing on my Purity Belle Candles Shop which has the added benefit of allowing me to vary my products.

Which pretty much brings me to my next piece of news. Again, this was a move I'd had in mind for some time and I'm delighted to be able to say that I've added a range of Home Fragrance products to my shop. I feel it gives a bit more variety and they are all selected with quality and value in mind.

Here are just a few of the new items added:

Soapstone Tealight Holder from Purity Belle Candles
Soapstone Tea Light Holder

Brass Incense Holder from Purity Belle Candles
Brass Incense Holder

Incense Cones from Purity Belle Candles
Orange Spice Incense Cones

I tried to select beautiful products made from natural materials and I think they are just lovely.

I have also just gotten delivery of a new selection of Curragh Pottery Cups. These are made specially for me by Bernard, a local potter and they are unique and dainty, as well as being reusable of course!
I've been busy working on a new shop order but I'm also adding some of these to my own shop. The two below are in Basil and Lime fragrance and are available now to purchase.

Last but not least, I'm continuing to improve my labeling and have ordered new business cards to reflect the fact that I am a Blogger as well as Candlemaker. I can't wait to get these, it's a change that was long overdue!

I hope you are all having a lovely Summer, despite the very mixed weather :)
